Each Solitaire game has its own tableau, and its own rules for playing cards in the tableau. Foundation Most Solitaire games have foundations, which are built upon during the game according to rank, suit, andor color rules. Building complete foundations is the goal of many Solitaire games. Foundations are represented on the playing table by solid rectangles. Stock In Solitaire games that do not deal all cards into the tableau, the remaining cards are dealt face down into the stock. Rules for using the stock vary from game to game. The stock is represented on the playing table by a dark rectangle containing a circle. Wastepile Cards that come from the stock but cannot be played in the tableau or built onto foundations are placed face up in one or more wastepiles. The top card of the wastepile is available for play. Wastepiles are represented on the playing table by a dark rectangle containing an X. Redeal Redealing is taking the wastepile and flipping it over into the exhausted stock to allow the cards to be played again.Demon Objective Build four 13-card foundations in suit and upward in consecutive rank. When the game is dealt, one card is placed on the first foundation as the initial rank of all the foundations. Demon The Demon is a pile of thirteen cards just below the stock on the screen. Only the top card of the Demon is available for play. No cards may be played on the Demon. Tableau The tableau is made up of four columns. Tableau columns may be played on in alternating color and descending, consecutive rank. Any such sequence may be played on the ends of tableau coumns. Any end card is available for play on tableau columns or building on foundations. If any column is exhausted, the top card from the Demon will automatically be placed in the space. If the Demon has no cards available, the top card of the wastepile will be used instead. Stock Cards from the stock are dealt three at a time onto the wastepile. When more than one card may be moved onto a foundation, Auto Play will move the first possibility it finds, not the best possibility. Turn Auto Play off for games that require you to make intelligent choices about which card to move onto a foundation (typically, games with foundations that build regardless of suit). Also, some games, because of their nature, cannot use Auto Play at all. "Undo Level" is the maximum number of stored moves that can be undone. Higher levels of undo use slightly more memory.
